Community Development Fund
The Shire’s Community Development Fund (CD Fund) is a small grants program totalling $10,000 per annum, offering up to $1,000 to assist Not for Profit, community and service based organisations with events, activities and organisational development. The CD Fund encourages a greater sense of community spirit through empowerment of local groups to achieve community based outcomes.
2011/12 Funding Round - Now Open!

If so, come along to an information session to:
• Hear a brief presentation with tips and advice for applying for the fund;
• Ask questions about the application process;
• Meet one-on-one with the Shire’s Community Development Staff to discuss your application or initiative.

2010/11 Funding Round
Fourteen local community organisations received grants from the 2010/2011 round of the Community Development Fund. A total of 26 applications were received, with local community organisations seeking over $21,000 in funding with an overall project value in excess of $113,500. Icon Event Sponsorship
The Shire of Augusta-Margaret River will consider applications for sponsorship for Icon Events*, that facilitate large-scale social, economic and or environmental benefits within the Shire.
* Icon Event means an event of State or National significance that can demonstrate high level of tourist activity and stimulate large scale community interest, involvement and or development. An Icon Event may be held at the same time each year.
