Community Events
Events Calendar
Is your group holding an event and need some help with promotion? Community groups can submit details of their events to be considered for the Shire’s Events Calendar.
The event must:
- Be located in the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River;
- Be open to the general public;
- Provide a benefit to the community through encouraging community participation in cultural, recreational or social events or promote a healthy lifestyles.
Events that will not be posted:
- Events by commercial enterprises aimed at making a profit;
- Personal fundraisers;
- Meetings that occur on a regular basis, for example a community group.
Please note: There is no guarantee that events will be posted. Requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and only events the Shire deems relevant will be posted.

Smart Events
Smart Events provide support for volunteers in the South West involved in the organisation and management of community festivals and events.
All not-for-profit organisations within the Shire are entitled to free membership access. This provides them with access to databases for stall holders, media contacts and business suppliers. Also available is a comprehensive list of performers and entertainers.

Equipment trailer for events
Smart Events have developed an equipment trailer which is available for use by community groups to assist with the running of events. The trailer contains items such as signage, bunting, safety equipment and feather banners.
