Planning appeals or Reconsideration of decisions
Your Proposal
If your application for Planning Approval has been refused or the decision contains conditions which you are not happy about, you may apply to the State Administrative Tribunal for a review of the Shire’s decision, or seek a reconsideration in writing providing any additional information required.
The State Administrative Tribunal can be contacted on 9219 3111 for further information about this process. Alternatively you can submit your application for a review online on the State Administrative Tribunal website and following the prompts.
An application for a review must be lodged within 28 days of the date of the decision.
A Proposal that affects you
If you are a person that may be affected by a decision but you are not the Applicant,there is no avenue to apply for a review of a planning decision made by the Shire.
Where you have made a written submission objecting to an application within the correct timeframe, the Shire will consider your submission in making its decision.
