Reward and recognition
We know that to attract and retain talented staff we need to recognise and reward staff achievements. Our people share in a real sense of purpose, have clear direction and receive regular feedback all of which contributes towards the success of our employees.
The Employee Collective Workplace Agreement provides for reward and recognition through:
- Performance based salary increases – of 5% or CPI which ever is greater per annum over the term of our agreements;
- Superannuation statutory guarantee - has been raised from 9% to 10%;
- Council matching superannuation - Council will match dollar for dollar employee super contributions from 1% to 4%;
- Paid Parental leave - 4 weeks maternity and 1 week paternity; and
- Personal leave incentive scheme – Payment upon employee cessation of pro-rata personal leave accrued within the term of the agreement.
Other ways that we provide reward and recognition are:
- Peer Recognition – Gifts provided for peer recognition of individual and team achievements;
- Employee Service – Service milestone payments recognising employee service as a valuable asset to the community; and
- Corporate Uniform – Uniform Subsidy provided to front line customer service Officers
