Fauna
Our region contains some very unique fauna, many of which occur no where else in the world. See the attached list of the threatened fauna known to occur within the Shire.
The Department of Environment and Conservation has prepared a number of recovery plans for some of the threated fauna species including the Chuditch, Woylie, Carnabies black cockatoo, Baudins black cockatoo, Redtail black cockatoo, Geocrinia alba and vitelina.
