  • U3A Public Meeting

    13 March 2012

    10am

Shire Offices, 41 Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River

The Shire of Augusta-Margaret River is seeking community members who are interested in exploring the potential for a University of the Third Age (U3A).

U3A is a voluntary, not-for-profit, international organisation aiming to deliver low-cost educational opportunities and networks to older people and those living with a disability.

The classes operate in a pleasant, supportive and social setting and work on the premise that mature-age people have the skills and knowledge to provide learning opportunities for themselves. There are no formal entry requirements, examinations or awards.

Community interest and commitment will be needed to keep U3A in operation.

If you are interested in learning more about the U3A, or would like to attend an information session, please contact Erin Statz on 9780 5239 or estatz@amrshire.wa.gov.au by February 29.
