Local Business Seminar - Local Government Tender Process

The Shire of Augusta-Margaret River invites local businesses to participate in an information seminar conducted by the Western Australian Local Government Association about the submission of tenders to Local Government.
The seminar will be conducted by Nick Wood, Executive Manager, Corporate Business Solutions and Dale Chapman, Business Development Manager, WALGA in Council Chambers, 41 Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River, Wednesday 1 February 2012 between 6pm-7.30pm.
The seminar will provide comprehensive information regarding the following issues:
• Legal requirements
• Regulatory requirements
• LG requirements – Tendering and Procurement
• Understanding key components of a Tender
• Understanding how councils evaluate Tenders
• Understanding the regional price preference policy and how it’s applied
• Tips for an effective tender response
