Urban residents collection days
A weekly waste collection service is available for residents within the waste collection service area which currently includes those areas listed in the table below.
Residents within the waste collection service area are requested to place their 140 litre or 240 litre refuse bin (green bin with green lid) at the kerb ready for collection from 6.00am.
Collection areas and days
| Monday | Margaret River Town West and North of Bussell Highway/Forrest Road intersections. East to Rendall Close |
| Tuesday | Prevelly, Gnarabup, Cowaramup, Gracetown, Brookfield Estate and Margaret River Town West of Railway Terrace |
| Wednesday | Witchcliffe, Augusta Town, Augusta Special Rural, Molloy Island and Karridale |
| Thursday | Margaret River Town South from Bussell Highway/Forrest Road intersections. East from Rendall Close (Riverslea Subdivisions) |
| Friday | Special Rural areas of Margaret River, Boodjidup, Redgate, Glenellie, Wilderness, Woodyche, Wildflower Estate, Falls Estate, Kilcarnup and Basildene Estate |
Please do not:
- Do not overload you refuse bin. The maximum weight of the bin should not exceed 70 kilograms. All waste is be contained within the bin with the lid shut.
- No hot or burning ash to be placed in the bin
- No oils, motor spirit or flammable liquid to be placed in the bin.
- No liquid paint or solvents to be placed in bin.
- No bricks, concrete, building rubble, earth to be placed in the bin
- No dressings, swabs or blood samples, medical, laboratory or pathology substances to be place in bin.
- No needles or sharps to be placed in bin unless sealed in a sharps container.
- No waste to be placed in the bin that is likely to become a nuisance (such as fish carcass and crustacea) unless pre-wrapped.
