Most Australians are concerned about climate change, but are confused or overwhelmed. Many don't know how Australia should respond or what they can do to help.

Helping people find a way to respond to the climate crisis is important. Social research shows that we often make sense of confusing information and decide on actions through conversations with people we know and trust.

Climate Conversations allow meaningful discussions about climate change to happen at scale. Hosting is a simple and effective way to share a quality discussion about climate change with your friends, and you'll be supported by a trained facilitator all the way.

Climate Conversations start with a host, who invites friends to their home. A trained facilitator will lead the conversation - presenting information, answering questions and facilitating a discussion about climate change. At the end of the conversation, guests are invited to collaborate and take further action. Guests are also invited to host their own Climate Conversation with their friends, to help create a groundswell of support for climate action in the South West.

Climate Conversations can be tailored specifically for schools and workplaces. They can also be delivered remotely via Zoom video conferencing. This means your guests can join in from anywhere in Australia or beyond!

Host Expression of Interest

We are currently looking for generous hosts who will kick off the initial Climate Conversations by inviting their friends and family around for a meal. This can be a one-off commitment, but hosting multiple Conversations for different groups of your peers will help us greatly.  Fill out the form below to express your interest, or feel free to email us if you have any questions at [email protected].
