Margaret River Youth Precinct
The Margaret River Youth Precinct forms part of Gloucester Park and includes one of the most renowned regional skateparks in Australia, with two community facilities including the Zone Room and Scout Hall. The community precinct is managed by Shire of Augusta Margaret River and the Youth Advisory Council (YAC), offering a dynamic hub for young people in the community. It allows for all ages and levels of abilities to interact and socialise while improving their skills at skateboarding, scooter riding and BMXing.
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River recently completed a major upgrade to this skate park, and are now in the process of improving the two community facilities in the precinct. The park boasts a half pipe with extension, a bowl, wave ramp, ¼ pipe, fun box and numerous roll-ins and hips. The park also has CCTV, public WIFI and lighting every night until 10pm. This park is ideal for all levels of skating from beginners to advanced levels. The Zone Room and the MRYP Hall are youth spaces that are conveniently located on Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River beside the skate park. The Zone Room offers a multi-functional meeting space, pool table, and lots of chairs and tables. The MRYP Hall offers a multi-functional meeting space.
The Zone Room and MRYP Hall are available for hire to community groups, organisations and individuals subject to the approval of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River. For more information download the Margaret River Youth Precinct - Booking package
Located behind Civic Oval on Allnut Terrace, Augusta Skate Park is a small and compact facility. The park includes a half pipe, several rails, a bowl and roll-in. The park has a limestone retaining wall that can be used for seating, a shelter, toilets and a drink fountain. View the location here.
Located behind the Tennis Courts of Bussell Highway the skate park is small and compact but provides challenges for both young and old skaters. Completed in 2013, the park was an initiative of the community which received wide support. View the location here.
