You landfill bin with the red lid should be considered a last resort for household waste. Items that can be placed in this bin include nappies and hygiene products, polystyrene, non-recylable meat trays and UHT (long life) containers.

The Shire operates the Davis Road Waste Management Facility as well as four transfer stations for rural residents who do not have access to a kerbside colleciton service. Our facilites offer a wide range of recovery and disposal options.
Davis Road is the final desitination for the contents from your landfill bin, only items that have no recovery options should be put in this bin.
