On the 17 September 2020 the Western Australian Planning Commission granted approval to the Various Lots on Brumby Place, Exmoor Drive and Boodjidup Road, Margaret River Structure Plan which has previously been the subject of public consultation by the Shire.
In accordance with section 3.50 of the Local Government Act 1995, Part 3 (functions of Local Governments – Closing certain thoroughfares to vehicles), Works being carried out by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River will be on the Wallcliffe Road footpath, opposite the Rivermouth Lookout.
These works are funded by Main Roads Regional Road Group funding and the Shire.
The Shire will excavate a trench alongside Wallcliffe Road to relocate Telstra Service and remove the old footpath to make way for the new intersection.
These works are programmed to commence mid October 2020 and will take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete, (weather permitting).
During works, Wallcliffe Road will be temporarily closed, with one lane open at all times.
The foot path/cycle path will be closed with a diversion in place across Wallcliffe Road – please follow directional signage.
Traffic management will be in place and some delays are likely. The Shire will endeavour to avoid lengthy delays and appreciate your patience during this time.
Should you have any questions relating to these works, please contact Coordinator Works, Neale Pike, 0409 011 783 or email email@example.com
