Thinking of nominating for Council in 2019?
For the 19 October 2019 local government ordinary elections, candidate nominations will open on Thursday 5 September.
The Shire will be holding a prospective councillor information session on Tuesday 27th of August from 5.30 in Council Chambers, 41 Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River. The session will provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Elected Members and the nomination and Election process.
Due to a change in the Act, all persons wishing to nominate as a candidate at the forthcoming local government elections are required to have first successfully completed the online candidate induction module. Completing the module is mandatory irrespective of whether an individual is a first time candidate or a long standing councillor.
The induction module is available via the Department of Local Government, Sport & Cultural Industries website.

In accordance with Part 4 of the Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations 1996, the Shire of Augusta Margaret River is seeking tenders from appropriate parties for the provision of Horticultural Services.
A copy of the Request for Tender documents (RFT) can be obtained by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org (including a note of the RFT reference 01-20 in the email subject).
All tenders are to be received by the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River before the closing deadline of 2.00 pm AWST Monday, 9 September 2019. No late tenders will be accepted.
Tenders must be lodged electronically to email@example.com The email subject must include the text “RFT 01-20 – SUBMISSION”. If the Tender submission is too large to deliver by email, tenderers may email a drop box link to the Shire at the above email address.
