Community Consultation

In accordance with section 3.50 of the Local Government Act 1995, Part 3 (functions of Local Governments – Closing certain thoroughfares to vehicles), Works being carried out by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River are kerbing, drainage, footpath upgrades and asphalt overlays  The works will involve digging of front yards and attending to flooding issues.  Upon completion of works, all crossovers will be reinstated.  The Shire, as part of the 2019-2020 budget, works program, will be funding these works.

These works are programmed to commence Tuesday 17 September 2019 and it is anticipated that works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete (weather permitting).

During works, individual property access may be affected.  The Shire Works Coordinator will contact residents, and will endeavour to ensure residents do have access at all times and where necessary to discuss issues and make alternative arrangements prior to individual access being affected.

During reconstruction works, traffic management will be in place and some delays are likely.  The Shire will endeavour to avoid lengthy delays, however where an alternative route is possible, please consider this.  The Shire appreciates your patience during these works.

Should you have further enquiries regarding these works, please contact the Shire’s Works Coordinator, Peter Brophy, 9780 5255 or via email:  amrshire@amrshire.wa.gov.au
