Community Consultation

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is committed to valuing and protecting the natural environment. The Shire also recognises the valuable role that community groups, organisations and individuals can play in protecting and enhancing our natural environment and offers funding opportunities through the Environmental Management Fund (EMF) Grant Program. 

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is seeking Expressions of Interest from interested parties to apply for funding through the EMF. Grants are available (subject to budget adoption) between $3,000 and $50,000 for the following environmental themes:

  1. biodiversity protection;
  2. waterway health;
  3. coastal management and protection; and
  4. environmental education.

Applications are required to comply with the adopted EMF program guidelines. Please contact Rebecca Kevill on (08) 9780 5207 or rkevill@amrshire.wa.gov.au for a copy of the EMF guidelines and application form.

Completed application forms must be submitted to the CEO, Shire of Augusta Margaret River, PO Box 61, Margaret River or to amrshire@amrshire.wa.gov.au by 4pm Tuesday, 4 June 2019.

Flinders Bay Caravan Park will be closed for Winter between 1 June to 31 August (inclusive). The Shire would like to apologise for any inconvenience and looks forward to greeting guests again in Spring. Turner Caravan Park will remain open for guests wishing to stay in the area and can be contacted on 9780 5633 for bookings or further information.

NOTICE OF SPORT AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING – 5 June 2019

 

The next Sports and Recreation Advisory Committee Meeting will be held at 7.00pm Wednesday 5 June 2019 in Council Chambers, 41 Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River are removing and replacing the existing Western verandah adjacent to the Margaret River Tennis/ Junior Football Club change rooms.

These works are expected to commence 23 April 2019 and last approximately six weeks.
