Preparations for the 2019-20 budget have commenced.

Community organisations have an opportunity to apply for financial assistance from the Shire through Council Contributions to improve community wellbeing and the provision of services and maintenance of facilities within the Shire.

NOTICE OF SPORT AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING – 6 February 2019

 

The next Sports and Recreation Advisory Committee Meeting will be held at 7.00pm Wednesday 6 February 2019 in Council Chambers, 41 Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River.

Council at its Ordinary Meeting held on 12 December 2018 resolved to adopt the draft Community Group and Sporting Club Communication Policy for advertising.

The purpose of the policy is to provide guidance for the appropriate and efficient handling of requests initiated by volunteer managed and run community groups and sporting clubs .  This policy does not apply to organisations that employ staff to manage or run the organisation.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River has resolved to make a local law relating to erosion and sediment control (Erosion and Sediment Control Local Law 2018).

The purpose of this local law is to require management measures to prevent erosion and the escape of sediment and pollutants from land.

The effect of this local law is that all owners or occupiers of land within the Shire will need to comply with the provisions of the local law.

A copy of the proposed local law may be inspected at or obtained from the Shire’s Offices 41 Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday and at any public library within the Shire of Augusta Margaret River during normal opening hours.  Also available for viewing by clicking on the link below:
