Residents across the Shire of Augusta Margaret River are being asked to give feedback on how they keep up to date with Shire news and information.

Respondents to the News and Information Survey will go into the draw to win one of three $100 Margaret River Farmers Market vouchers.

The survey includes questions about where residents access Shire news and information, how satisfied they are with communications and how they would like to receive information in future.

Director Corporate and Community Services, Annie Riordan said the feedback would help enhance the Shire’s communication methods.

“The survey results will help us better understand how our community wishes to access Shire information, including public notices, service changes, community consultation opportunities and event information, among other things.

“Knowing how and where community members get information is particularly important in emergency situations and as part of emergency prevention strategies such as bushfire mitigation activities,” she said.

“Whether residents source their news from the local paper, online via the website or email, via social media or radio, we are interested in knowing how best to reach our community through the most appropriate channels.”

The survey closes on 21 May and is available online via Your Say at
