The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is calling for nominations for Volunteer of the Year and Youth Volunteer of the Year awards.

The Volunteer of the Year awards will be presented as part of International Volunteer Day celebrations to be held on Tuesday 05 December 2017, 6pm – 8pm at the Shire Civic Administration Centre foyer.

Shire President Pam Townshend said the awards play an important role in recognising the invaluable contributions volunteers make to our community.

"Many people work tirelessly and quietly behind the scenes making a real difference to people’s lives in our community," she said.

"This is a chance to recognise and celebrate their achievements, and I encourage community members to nominate a deserving friend or colleague."

Nominations close 4pm Friday17 November 2017.

Nomination forms, including eligibility criteria, are available on the Shire’s website at and from the Shire of Augusta Margaret River Libraries and the Civic Administration Centre.
