In accordance with Part 4 of the Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations 1996, the Shire of Augusta Margaret River is seeking Expression of Interest from appropriate parties for the provision of Architectural Design Services for the Margaret River Aquatic Centre.

A copy of the Expression of Interest documents (EOI) can be obtained by emailing tenders@amrshire.wa.gov.au  (including a note of the EOI reference EOI 04-21 in the email subject).

All expressions are to be received by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River before the closing deadline of 2pm (AWST) Friday, 15 January 2021. No late submissions will be accepted.

EOIs must be lodged electronically to tenders@amrshire.wa.gov.au The email subject must include the text “EOI 04-21 – SUBMISSION”. If the submission is too large to deliver by email, respondents may email a drop box link to the Shire at the above email address.

Hard copy or facsimile EOIs will not be accepted.

Canvassing of the Elected Councillors or Officers will result in immediate disqualification of the relevant EOI.

The Shire in partnership with Alzheimer's WA is hosting a  free workshop for family members and friends who know or care for a person living with dementia in the community (not suitable for people with a diagnosis of dementia).

This one day workshop provides participants with an understanding of dementia, insight into what occurs when a person develops dementia and communication skills to best support a person living with dementia.

Date: Tuesday 1 December 2020

Time: 9am - 4pm

Venue: Church Gallery, Margaret River Community Resource Centre

Food and refreshments will be provided.

Scheme Amendment No. 63 to Local Planning Scheme No. 1

IT is hereby notified for public information, in accordance with section 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 that the Minister for Planning approved the Shire of Augusta Margaret River Local Planning Scheme amendment on 4 November 2020 for the purpose of:

1.    Amending the Scheme maps by applying ‘Tourism’ (‘T22’) designation to the land;

2.    Inserting special conditions into Schedule 12.
