About the opportunity

Looking for a career change and work locally? Reporting to the Leading Hand, you will be assisting the Maintenance, Construction, and Parks & Gardens teams in the undertaking of various activities to support the Shire’s Capital & Operating Works programmes. Maintaining the Shire’s infrastructure assets is the main focus of the role with duties including sign installation, minor carpentry works, herbicide application, and sign installation amongst many other varied tasks. 


General Hand Maintenance (HR 30/23).

  • Continuing, Full-Time 76 hours/ fortnight – 9-day fortnight roster
  • EA Level 2/3 ($54,808 - $67,900 per annum)
  • Plus superannuation, career development, generous leave provisions and recreation centre membership

General Hand Maintenance Position Description

A current C class licence and construction white card, along with demonstrated experience in manual labouring and the ability to work within a team environment are essential.
