Aerodrome Improvement Works - Augusta

Augusta Aerodrome Improvements works are being carried out by the Shire to extend the taxiway to improve the circular use of the airstrip for Aircraft in refuelling and water bomber operations.

These works are due to commence Monday 13 March and are expected to finish Friday 14 April (weather permitting).

During works, the Airstrip will be closed to all air traffic other than Emergency Services, with an exception over the Easter break when the Airstrip will be open to all air traffic. 

This project is funded in combination by the Shire, Augusta Aero Club and the Regional Airport Development Scheme grant funding.

These works are carried out in accordance with section 3.50A of the Local Government Act 1995, Part 3A (functions of Local Governments – partial closure of certain thoroughfares to vehicles).
