Please report all shark sightings directly to the Water Police on 9442 8600. This number is staffed 24 hours, seven days a week and will activate any required response.
Anyone wanting to receive alerts about shark sightings in the Margaret River area can follow @SLSWA on Twitter or refer to the Surf Life Saving WA facebook page.
People are asked to refrain from phoning rangers direct for updates as these phone lines need to be available to coordinate shark sight response activities.

Shire works updates - November 2013
- Ellenbrook Road – sealing is underway from 4/12/13. Once finished works will stop and crew will be back at this location closer to the rainy period to undertake tree planting.
- Skippy Rock Road – works will be complete 6/12/13.
Gloucester Park – drainage works will be completed by 13/12/13, after which pavement works will commence.
- Works at Warner Glen Road to be finalised by Christmas.
- New play equipment expected to be delivered by Christmas for Memorial Park and Flinders Bay
- Resheeting works are continuing on Skippy Rock Road, Augusta. Please drive with caution.
- Road upgrade works to Fisher Road are expected to commence in January 2014
- The shade sail at the Rosewood Ramble park has been replaced with a new one

Annual General Electors Meeting
The 2013 Annual General Electors Meeting will be held at 4pm on Wednesday 11 December in Council Chambers, 41 Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River.
The meeting will consider the Annual Report and the Annual Financial Statements for the 2012/13 Financial Year.

Fuel Hazard Reduction and Firebreak notice
Cat Act 2011
As from 1 November 2013 the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River will commence enforcing the Cat Act 2011.
Warner Glen Road remains closed
- Warner Glen Rd - Closed from 1km south of the Blackwood River bridge until further notice (view detour here)
- Bullant Drive - Drive with extreme caution
Road closure Surfers Point construction
We advise that there is no vehicle access to Surfers Point until further notice due to construction works that are being completed. In the interim, parking is available at Riflebutts. Pedestrians are able to access the beach at Surfers Point via the walkway on Surfers Point Rd or from the walkway from Riflebutts Reserve. The Northside stairs are open but the Southside stairs are closed to pedestrians.
We apologise for any inconvience this may cause in the short term, but the safety of pedestrians and motor users around the construction site is of paramount importance to the Shire.
