The Margaret River youth precinct forms part of Gloucester Park and includes one of the most renowned skateparks in the south west and a dedicated youth space known as the Zone Room.
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is currently seeking to upgrade and develop the existing Youth Precinct space to create a hub for young people in the community. The vision for the site is improving and expanding the current skate park to allow for all ages and levels of abilities to interact and socialise while improving their skills at skateboarding, scooter riding and BMXing.
The preliminary concept designs March 2016 are available for viewing:

The park boasts a half pipe with extension, a bowl, wave ramp, ¼ pipe, fun box and numerous roll-ins and hips. The park also has great lighting that is available several nights throughout the week until 10pm. This park is ideal for all levels of skating from beginners to advanced levels. The park is set on a site called the ‘Zone’, a youth space that includes the Zone Room youth centre, dirt jumps, beach volleyball, and a mini basketball court.
The Shire has recently undertaken community consultation for the development of a Concept Plan for the precinct to plan for future redevelopment of the site and upgrading of the Skate park.
The Zone Room is a youth space conveniently located on Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River beside the skate park. The space has a commercial kitchen, an office, multi-purpose open space, pool table, foosball and lots of chairs and tables. The Shire of Augusta Margaret River and the YAC manage the Zone precinct area which includes the main building as well as the skate park and grassed area.
The Zone Room is available for hire to community groups, organisations and individuals subject to the approval of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River. For more information download a Zone Room application form.
Located behind Civic Oval on Allnut Terrace, Augusta Skate Park is a small and compact facility. The park includes a half pipe, several rails, a bowl and roll-in. Renovated recently, the park now has a limestone retaining wall that can be used for seating, a shelter, toilets and a drink fountain.
Located behind the Tennis Courts of Bussell Highway the skate park is small and compact but provides challenges for both young and old skaters. The park is a new facility and an initiative of the community which received wide support. It was completed in 2013.
