Melissa D'Ath Sworn in as Councillor

Councillor D'Ath Attends First Meeting 

Melissa D’Ath was sworn in as a Councillor last night, ahead of a special council meeting.

Melissa fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Councillor Paula Cristoffanini, in accordance with the Local Government Act 1995. The Act states where a vacancy occurs within 12 months of an election it should be offered to the candidate that received the next highest number of votes at that election.
