Firestone Park upgrades complete – explore the new Blue Whale Playground

Upgrades at Firestone Park - West Bay Creek Augusta are now complete.

Following extensive community consultation earlier this year, the new blue whale playground has been installed in the south west corner of the park (Abbey Lane & Meridian Street), along with swings, nature play elements and a picnic shelter.

These improvements reflect the feedback received from local residents and align with the Shire’s Leisure Plan and Public Open Space Strategy 

The project was delivered through a partnership between the Australian Government and the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.

What’s new at Firestone Park:

•    Blue whale playground design, selected by community vote
•    Nature play elements using timber and stone
•    Swings and soft-fall pine chip for safe play
•    Upgraded footpath and picnic shelter
