Important fire season dates

Please be advised that the Shire of Augusta Margaret River will be suspending the Prohibited Burning Period at 11.59pm on Sunday 22 March 2020. The Restricted Burning Period will commence 12.00am on Monday 23 March and will remain in place until Tuesday 12 May (unless varied).

Permits to Burn are required, INCLUDING for all garden refuse burns (up to 1 cubic metre was previosuly exempt). This is to mitigate both fire risk and the potential impact of smoke on grapes for vineyards still harvesting.

Important fire information and Fire Control Officer contact details are available in the Firebreak Notice and Bushfire Information 2019-2020
