Important Fire Season Information

The Restricted Burning Period commenced as planned on 14 March 2018 and will continue through until 12 May 2018 (unless otherwise amended).
For important information regarding fire season requirements, including when and where campfires are permitted, please refer to the 2017/18 Fuel Hazard Reduction and Firebreak Notice

Campfires are now permitted in Shire-owned/managed campgrounds including Turner Caravan Park, Flinders Bay Caravan Park and Alexandra Bridge Campground. Campfires must: 

  • only be lit in designated fire pits
  • always have a person in attendance
  • only be lit after 6pm and must be extinguished before 11pm.

Refer to www.dbca.wa.gov.au for campfire requirements in State-managed parks.
