Extinguish fire to prepare for winds

Due to favourable weather conditions, a number of private and agency controlled burns have been conducted throughout May. Storms are now forecast for the local area on Thursday 24 May and Friday 25 May 2018.
Strong winds are likely to precede the storm and, as such, the Shire urges residents to ensure fires and remnant smouldering have been made safe.
Should you spot an uncontrolled fire, or require emergency assistance with an out of control burn,
please immediately dial 000.
