The Shire will soon begin upgrade works along Victoria Parade in Augusta to fix long standing drainage and pavement issues in the area.
The project includes installing new sub soil drainage, renewing kerbs and pavement, upgrading drainage pits, and replacing the damaged sections of asphalt. These improvements will help manage groundwater, stop ongoing road damage, and create a safer, smoother road surface for everyone.Works are planned to start in the last week of February 2026 and finish before Easter, weather permitting.
During construction, there will be some short term impacts, including detours and road closures. Local access will be maintained at all times.
We appreciate the community’s patience while we get this important work done.
