It can be daunting to know where to start or where to invest your money to improve the energy efficiency of your home, so we’re partnering with West Wave Energy Assessment to offer Augusta Margaret River residents a FREE Scorecard Energy assessment worth $250*.  


As a part of our Caring for Our Place initiative, we are proud to offer the Scorecard assessment to help residents gain a better understanding of their home’s energy efficiency, information about their main appliances such as heating, cooling and hot water services, as well as practical actions to reduce energy costs and emissions.

About Scorecard Energy Assessments

The national Residential Efficiency Scorecard is a government-backed program that offers: 

  • A complete energy efficient assessment of your home, including a star rating 
  • A clear pathway to reduce your energy costs and emissions and make your home more comfortable.  


The scorecard assessment will provide advice tailored to your needs, budget and goals, ensuring that your hard-earned money is well spent.

Terms and Conditions
  • Applications will be open on Friday 23 May and will close 5pm (AWST) on Monday 30 June 2025. 
  • The Scorecard Energy Assessment Rebate is exclusively available to properties located within the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River. 
  • Applicants must own the property nominated for the Scorecard Energy Assessment Rebate. 
  • Applicants must be willing to provide a copy of their ID and proof of address if required.  
  • Applicants are required to specify how they plan to utilise the results of the Scorecard Energy Assessment within their application form.  
  • If you own multiple properties, only one property may be nominated for the Scorecard Energy Assessment Rebate. 
  • Recipients of the Scorecard Energy Assessment Rebate must utilise their rebate by December 31, 2025.  
  • The Shire will cover the total cost of the Scorecard Energy Assessment; applicants are not required to make any upfront payments.  
  • The Shire reserves the right to decline an application that does not meet the selection criteria outlined in the application form. 
  • A limited number of assessments are available; rebates will be distributed in the order applications are received.  
  • By agreeing to our Terms and Conditions, you accept that you may be contacted to participate in a case study for educational and marketing purposes. This may be in written or in video form.
