Environment and Sustainability
If you’re struggling with blackberry, this is the workshop for you!
Lower Blackwood LCDC invite you to a hands-on morning with local weed guru Rick Ensley and learn how to tackle your blackberry weeds.
Blackberry infestations thrive in moist locations – waterways, creeks and riverbeds but it can also grow on pasture, hillsides and disturbed land in our higher rainfall south west region. Once established it spreads fast, and new canes can extend more than three metres from the crown in one growing season.
Blackberry is a thorny problem that takes more than one season to beat. Come along to this practical workshop and learn how to turn the tables on those troublesome thickets this summer!
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is proud to partner with the Lower Blackwood LCDC to promote sustainable agriculture.
