Climate Action Plan (CAP) progress update

While we wait for the latest data, our 2024 results show we are making progress, keeping our corporate emissions below our Climate Action Plan target

Key achievements from our most recent reporting year:

•    A significant reduction in emissions thanks to our Renewable Energy Supply Agreement
•    Adding seven electric vehicles to our fleet and installing EV chargers
•    Securing ARENA Future Fuels and WA Charge Up funding
•    Offsetting fleet emissions while we transition to new technology
•    Delivering our first Climate Risk Assessment and Climate Adaptation Plan with staff and community

We’re continuing this work, with energy efficiency upgrades, solar and battery installations planned across Shire facilities.

We also continue to support local action within the community through:

•    Caring for Our Place, helping households reduce their footprint and cost of living
•    Funding projects that build biodiversity and store carbon

Want to take action at home or work?

Our Renewable Energy Supply Agreement is powered by Synergy’s 100% NaturalPower, and you can opt in too. It’s a simple way to support renewable energy in WA.
