Fast EV Charging in Our Shire

We’ve joined WA’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Network!

Two new fast chargers (1x150kW and 1x75kW) have been installed in Margaret River.

Stationed near the popular West Coffee Co café on Wallcliffe Road, the 150kW fast charger can charge your EV in about 20 minutes.

The whole network, designed for eco-conscious drivers, is expected to be completed mid-2024. It will feature 49 EV charging sites, averaging less than 200km apart.

Shire President Julia Meldrum is delighted that we’ve joined the network.

“Connecting to the WA EV Network makes it easy to travel from our shire to other regions, but most importantly it supports our goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2030,” Ms Meldrum said.

Minister of Energy, Environment & Climate Action Hon. Reece Whitby MLA is excited that the network has reached our coastal town.

“I am thrilled to see the WA EV Network extend to Margaret River,” Mr Whitby said.

“The success of the network is reflected in a significant uptake of electric vehicle ownership throughout WA and will support EV drivers who wish to travel through and experience the best of our State’s beautiful South West region.”
