Highlight of the school holidays
Margs Youth Fest 2026 was, without a doubt, the highlight of the April school holidays.
Created by young people, for young people, it was incredible to see the community come together in the heart of Margaret River. The evening showcased an eclectic mix of local youth bands, alongside a huge range of activities, from interactive art workshops and basketball to a photo booth, dance performances and food stalls.
A huge shoutout to our 18-year-old event organiser and the Shire of Augusta Margaret River’s 2026 Community Development Trainee, Mia - you absolutely smashed it. Special thanks as well to the World Surf League and icea sunglasses for the giveaways.
Shire of Augusta Margaret River was so proud to present the Margs Youth Fest and give our young people a space to connect, get creative and have fun in a safe, inclusive and accessible environment.
