Here’s what you need to know about Shire services this Labour Day public holiday on Monday 2 March 2026

Shire offices
•    Closed on Monday 2 March.

Margaret River and Augusta offices will reopen at 9am on Tuesday 3 March.

Waste services
•    Kerbside bin collection and waste services will operate as usual.

Libraries
•    Margaret River library is closed for renovations, including Monday 2 March. 
•    Augusta library is closed. 

Community members can continue to access the library’s extensive range of digital resources 24/7 here.

Recreation centres

•    The Margaret River Recreation Centre will be open from 8am to 2pm. (No swimming lessons on this day)
•    The Augusta Recreation Centre will be open with usual business hours.

Please note: No crèche services will be available, and only virtual fitness classes will be operating.
