WA’s Treebate initiative now available for eligible residents.
WA residents can now receive up to $150 back for purchasing and planting a native tree through the State Government’s Treebate initiative. The program aims to help grow Western Australia’s urban canopy, create cooler neighbourhoods and support local biodiversity by encouraging households to plant native trees at home.
Eligible residents can claim the rebate in three simple steps:
- Buy a native tree from a local nursery
- Plant the tree on your property
- Submit a claim via ServiceWA, including a tax invoice and photo of the plant label
With 10,000 rebates available each year, residents are encouraged to apply early.
Planting native trees helps provide shade, improve local environments, and create habitat for wildlife, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future for WA communities.
