Revised Ellis Street Precinct Plan

Have Your Say on the Revised Ellis Street Precinct Plan

We are now welcoming community feedback on the revised Ellis Street Precinct Concept Plan.

In 2023, the Shire  created a draft Ellis Street Precinct Concept Plan to guide infrastructure renewal, environmental restoration, use and landscaping within the Ellis Street  Precinct. Community feedback on the original draft has been carefully considered, and the plans have since been revised to reflect this input.

The key issues the project aims to address include:
•    Improving road surface and drainage
•    improved environmental outcomes including water quality and tree protection
•    improved legibility and wayfinding throughout the area through clearer layout and signage
•    improving pedestrian and cyclist connectivity (paths), with clear separation from vehicles and boat      movements
•    increasing availability and functionality of parking

The concepts are indicative only, and will be finalised through detailed design once the plan has been adopted. This will also be impacted by budget and construction costs at the time.

To view the revised plans and share your feedback on the design please visit Your Say before 12pm 7 April 2026.

You can also chat to staff, who will have printed copies of the plan at The Augusta Shire office between 9am and 3pm on Wednesday 18 March and Thursday 19 March 2026.
