Shire works watch: projects happening next week

Our teams are busy cleaning up after last weekend’s storm. The storm impacts were significant, and it will take us some time to get things back to normal

Projects happening next week across the region:

MEMORIAL PARK TOILETS

Building works at Memorial Park will begin next week and are expected to take approximately four weeks to complete. During this time, the female toilets will remain open to the public and a temporary male toilet will be available inside the main entrance. Selected car park bays will be closed during the works.

SHIRE-WIDE DRAINAGE MAINTENANCE

Our crews are continuing ongoing drainage maintenance across the Shire, responding to areas that require attention. We completed routine checks and prep of drainage systems ahead of winter and are now busy attending sites where issues have been reported following the recent storm.

If you notice any drainage issues in your area, please let us know. You can lodge a Report It / Request It through our Customer Service team - we can’t fix what we don’t know about. We appreciate your help in being proactive and keeping an eye out, particularly during periods of heavy weather.

WADANDI TRACK

Maintenance and drainage works are continuing on a section of the Wadandi Track, north of Gnarawary Road, to improve surface conditions ahead of winter. These works will be ongoing until the end of June.

JINDONG–TREETON ROAD

We have started reinstating the road and finishing up other works to close out the project. Road remains closed, with local access only.

SCOTT RIVER ROAD

Works are continuing along Scott River Road from Brockman Highway including tree pruning, verge clean-up and table drain reinstatement. Traffic management is in place, please slow down and follow directions.

WIRRING ROAD

Maintenance works are happening on the sealed section of Wirring Road. Stop and go traffic control will be in place at times.
