Planning a development or changes to your property? Our Public Health team can provide advice on your wastewater system before you lodge a Development Application (DA) or Building Permit. This service replaces the previous Septic Search Request form and helps you make informed decisions early in the process.
A Property Advice Request allows our Public Health Officers to provide guidance on:
- Existing wastewater system plans or approvals (if available)
- Suitability of the current system for the proposed development or use
- Any upgrades required (e.g., systems designed for 5 guests may need upgrading for 8)
- Compliance issues, including undersized or unapproved systems
Who should lodge a request?
- Holiday houses
- Dwelling alterations or additions
- Conversions, such as sheds to ancillary accommodation
- Any development impacting wastewater systems
