A special celebration to mark the start of the 2026 vintage.

As seasonal workers arrive and preparations for this year’s harvest begin, the Margaret River Wine Association invites you to celebrate the start of Vintage 2026 on Wadandi Boodja (Saltwater Country).

The highlight of this special evening is Undalup Association's traditional welcome to country and smoking ceremony which cleanses and purifies the spirit, body and soul, while marking the beginning of something new.

There will also be live music and multicultural entertainment to celebrate the diversity that shapes the Margaret River wine community.  International workers are encouraged to bring a flag or wear traditional clothing from their home country to showcase the rich multicultural spirit of the vintage workforce in the Margaret River Wine Region.

Margaret River Wine Association’s 2026 Vintage Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony celebrates our region’s unique identity, and helps strengthen and connect our community, which is why the Shire of Augusta Margaret River is proud to support the event though our Community Development and Events Grants

BYO chair and picnic blanket.
