Ditch the script

Following a strong response to last year’s session, the Shire of Augusta Margaret River is pleased to host Rhys Paddick from the Modern Custodian at this FREE Acknowledgement of Country Workshop.

Acknowledgements of Country are an important sign of respect, but it can be challenging to move beyond using a script, especially when you want to get it right. This workshop creates space to build confidence and explore a more personal and meaningful approach.

Delivered by Modern Custodian, the workshop will guide you in crafting an Acknowledgement that reflects the place, the people, and your own connection to Country. You’ll build a deeper understanding of what an Acknowledgement is and why it matters, and develop your own personalised version that can be adapted for different settings - allowing your voice and story to come through with confidence.
