Mountain bike-loving kids can now be part of the iconic Cape to Cape MTB with the launch of Cape Kids.
Taking place the day before the official start of the four-day event, Cape Kids will be held in the heart of Margaret River township and gives children aged 6 to 17 the chance to ride on a closed course modeled on the real thing!
Participants will receive a C2C race plate to proudly display on their bikes, a participant medal, and the satisfaction of knowing the event supports the Margaret River Off Road Cycling Association, long-time volunteers and trail builders in our Shire.
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is proud to support Cape to Cape MTB through our Major Events Grants Program. Events like these bring our community together, inspire healthy lifestyles, and continue to grow in ways that benefit everyone.

- 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Kids Rider Registration
- From 3:00 pm: Meet the Cape to Cape Open Riders
- 4:00 pm: 6–10 yrs Start
- 4:15 pm: 11–13 yrs Start
- 4:30 pm: 14–17 yrs Start

- Cape to Cape Kids has three categories (1) 6-10Years (2) 11-13years (3) 14-17yrs
- All riders must be registered via Race Roster and collect their number plate from the kids marquee pre ride.
- Riders must be able to ride their bikes without training wheels or assistance (unless previously discussed with us!) and should be capable of navigating a small track.
- Helmets are mandatory on the trail; they must fit properly and will be inspected by organizers before riders set off.
- Parents are not allowed to ride with their kids. No big kids, no matter how young you feel!
