Gracetown Firewise Garden workshop

Join us on Saturday 13 September for a free firewise garden workshop in Gracetown

To inspire and empower our residents to create beautiful firewise gardens, we’ve partnered with The Forever Project to install a firewise garden in Gracetown!

Located opposite Gracie’s General Store, this high-profile area was earmarked for a new garden – presenting a fantastic opportunity to not only create a firewise garden but also to bring our community together so you can learn how to implement these firewise principles in your own garden.  

In the workshop, we will cover firewise landscaping practices, creating defensible spaces and the use of fire-retardant plants and materials.

• Saturday 13 September, 11am - 12pm 
• Located opposite Gracie's General Store
• We encourage you to walk or ride down, or alternatively if you are driving, please park at the beach and walk down.
• There will be coffee vouchers available for attendees 

Can’t make the event, but keen to learn more about firewise gardens? The site will include educational signage to empower residents to create and install their own firewise landscapes as part of their bushfire preparedness.
