Experiences of discrimination, stigma, and exclusion often impact the mental health and wellbeing for many LGBTIQA+ people, contributing to higher rates of psychological distress and suicidal thoughts.

To coincide with the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (May 17) Mind-Ed are offering a free workshop to explore how we can create a safer, more inclusive community and support  LGBTIQA+ people

This workshop will help participants:

  • Increase awareness of suicide prevention from an LGBTIQA+ perspective

  • Recognise when someone may be struggling

  • Respond supportively and confidently

  • Connect people with appropriate supports.

Community members, allies, volunteers and professionals are all welcome.   If you have your own thoughts of suicide, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 for support.
