A landmark truth-telling exhibition
Nala Bardip Mia - Margaret River Heart and Arts Margaret River are delighted to host Ngaluk Waangkiny as part of its two-year tour across Western Australia and invite you to the exhibition opening.
Meaning 'Us Talking' in Noongar, Ngaluk Waangkiny is a powerful and moving exploration of identity, resilience and connection which shares the life journeys and lived experiences of ten respected Boorloo Elders,
Through photography, recorded oral histories, and a short documentary, Ngaluk Waangkiny highlights each of the Elder’s triumphs over adversity, fights for human rights and advocacy for respect and recognition. Their stories are poignant, powerful and, at times, heartbreaking, offering an honest and compelling insight into Australia's often overlooked First Nations histories.
The exhibition will run at Nala Bardip Mia - Margaret River Heart until 2 August.
