Last year, scams cost Australians over $2 billion. While older Australians tend to lose the most money, everyone is at risk - especially as scams become increasingly personalised, sophisticated, and harder to detect.
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River and the Augusta Community Resource Centre, is proud to host a special Scams Awareness presentation by Consumer Protection WA.
Learn how to recognise common scam tactics, safeguard your personal and financial information, and understand what steps to take if you or someone you know has been targeted. The session also includes time for questions, giving you the chance to get clear, practical advice.
Tea, coffee, and morning tea will be provided.
