Take a walk along the river as you’ve never experienced before
This FREE family-friendly event celebrates the opening of Wooditjup Bilya River & Land Art Trail. Presented by Nature Conservation as part of the inaugural River Celebration Week, the trail will temporarily transform a short loop of the River Trail (beginning and ending at the Old Settlement) into an outdoor gallery of land artworks.
Showcasing the artwork of traditional Artists and custodians, alongside local schools and community participants, the afternoon features a Welcome to Country, cultural yarns, artist talks and short river ecology presentations.
Event Program
1pm – Stalls open & trail open for self-guided exploration
2pm – Welcome to Country and cultural yarn with Nan Vivian Brockman Webb and Mitchella Hutchins
3pm – Short talks on river ecology and stewardship
