Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS)

The Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS) provides financial subsidies for eligible WA country residents to reduce the cost of accessing the closest specialist medical services that are not available locally. Subsidies are not intended to cover all travel costs with recipients required to pay the difference between the subsidy amount and the actual cost of travel and accommodation. Passenger Transport Subsidy Scheme (PTSS) 

The Passenger Transport Subsidy Scheme (PTSS) in Western Australia provides subsidized taxi travel for eligible individuals with severe and permanent disabilities. Administered by the Department of Transport, the scheme covers up to 75% of the fare, depending on the type of subsidy.
