Green Waste Disposal

Green waste up to 2m3 can be taken to Davis Road Recycling and Waste Management Facility and turned into mulch.

Free garden mulch can be collected for no charge from Monday - Friday during normal opening hours.
Green waste in excess of 2m3 will be charged a standard fee, refer to fees and charges for further
information. Additional fees and charges will apply for contaminated green waste, disposal of large tree
branches and stumps, and commercial loads of green waste


Redcycle is an Australian company which recovers soft plastic packaging that can't be recycled through the yellow lid bin. 

REDcycle bins are provided at both Coles and Woolworths in Margaret River so bring your soft plastic packaging back to the source next time you do your shopping.

Drop off small amounts of soft and scrunchy plastic at the Shire's Office

Containers for Change

Collect eligible containers and take them to a refund point to make cash from your containers or donate to a worthy local cause.

Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard drink containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible.

Precious Plastics

Save your plastic bottle tops and lids and take them to a Precious Plastics drop off point at local supermarkets and community drop off points. This innovative local group use bottle tops and turn them into surfboard fins, plant pots and more.
