I am a long term ratepayer and now resident of Gracetown. I am a former lawyer with a Masters of Law specialising in environmental and planning law who has acted both for and against councils so I am aware of the issues facing both developers and environmentalists. I am committed to ecologically sustainable development and preserving the unique natural beauty of the region. I would support a balanced approach to proposals, assessing each individually on its merits and with careful consideration of community concerns. I have 3 sons and so am aware of the importance of infrastructure supporting families such as schools, sporting facilities, parks and playgrounds. I am a keen surfer and bushwalker and therefore a strong supporter of surfers and bush walkers in the region. I firmly believe in the importance of community and community consultation. My background is in advocacy and I believe this background would make me an ideal candidate to listen to you and advocate on your behalf.
