I'm Tracey Muir and for nearly 20 years I have called this region home. I'm raising a family, work as a teacher, have owned and run a farming business and dedicated myself to conservation and community. Over the past four years as a Shire Councillor, I have been a clear and consistent voice for the environment, leading the push for a consultative biodiversity strategy to protect the place we love. As Deputy Shire President and Chair of the Advocacy Committee, I’ve met directly with government Ministers and demanded more for our National Parks, schools and hospitals while also standing up for housing, small business, water security, infrastructure and health services. I know how local government works, how to balance budgets and make fair and sensible decisions. I’ve developed a constructive and collaborative style that delivers results. I want to continue serving you, together protecting our unique environment and ensuring families and businesses can thrive into the future.
