I moved to Margaret River in 1991 as a teen and have witnessed its remarkable growth firsthand. In the years since, I have called this region home as a student, a parent, a small business owner, a homeowner/ratepayer, a volunteer and an active community member. I bring experience in the corporate sector and as a volunteer, I’ve served as MRSHS P&C President for the past 4 years, at MRPS for 4 years prior, I currently sit on the Board of RMR, Margaret River’s first FM community radio station and have been a member of the music and arts communities.
As a shire councillor, I will advocate for small business, try to ensure all development is delivered responsibly with strong environmental controls, and focus on maintaining our local identity, integrity, cultural heritage and diversity. I believe the role of a councillor is to listen to the community and work on their behalf, working collaboratively to ensure our council reflects the values and aspirations of the people it serves.
