About the opportunity
We are currently seeking a Finance Officer - Generalist to assist the team with all aspects of financial management, insurance, licences & leases, indirect taxes and Council rates. This position is responsible for assisting with month end processes and monthly financial reports for the Shire’s business units. Administer rating and revenue functions, including levying rates, issuing notices, processing debt recovery, and managing pensioner rebates are also part of the role.
Demonstrated competence in the preparation of indirect tax records and related financial services is fundamental. An advanced level of IT & admin skills is required alongside an appreciation of financial software applications. An understanding of both Goods & Services Tax and Fringe Benefits Tax is desirable although not essential.

- Continuing, Part-Time to Full-Time employment (53.2 to 76 hours/fortnight)
- Level 5 ($81,376 - $88,085 per annum pro-rata) IA 2025-26 rate
